Our Project Management services began from necessity. We recognized that projects within the landscape of homelessness required nuance to achieve success. Critical pieces such as enhanced fire/life safety requirements, stringent building requirements and increased ADA conditions are incorporated from the outset of all projects. Our Innovative Approach
We provide end to end services to our clients from concept to completion. We pride ourselves on guiding our clients through the complicated spaces of development and construction in the landscape of homelessness. The DAECO Project Management team is detailed-oriented and consistently monitoring the 3 key aspects of all projects- cost, schedule and scope of work.
The DAECO team has extensive experience in adaptive reuse of various property types for the purpose of housing for the homeless. We believe adaptive reuse is a key tool in reducing homelessness and have direct project management experience in the arena. This strategy presents distinctive requisites such as change of use or change of occupancy; the DAECO team’s breadth of project experience is uniquely valuable for our clients at this stage. The goal of the DAECO team is to ensure the right strategy is developed, the appropriate project team is assembled and the project plan is executed with meticulous oversight.
Project Management with the DAECO team includes an operational perspective; we understand the physical needs of a site from the service provider vantage point. This is critical to reducing construction time and budget by preventing costly change orders at project end.

Motel Conversions
Our team has wide-ranging experience with motel/hotel conversions for housing. From project monitoring over 10 motel conversions through Certificate of Occupancy to direct project management for ownership entities; our team understands the challenges to execute these projects and guide our clients through this process.
Adaptive Reuse
Allows our team to facilitate meeting urgent housing needs at an accelerated timeframe and decreased costs than traditional new construction methods. Highly effective, methodical approach to identifying real estate that lends itself well for conversion to housing.
Supportive services design
We conceptualize spaces with services at the forefront. We understand what providers need from the physical space to best support clients. Common spaces, access to the outdoors and other amenities are critical to the goal of supporting the unhoused in our communities. We rely on trauma-informed design principles.
Site selection
The DAECO process to site selection is led by determining the best use a site and connecting it to the right program need. Our team is immersed in the homelessness space with access to many programs in need of building opportunities. We are consistently active in site selection throughout Los Angeles county and vet potential sites through feasibility.
